Why do I need an MLS Listing? The key to selling your property is held in the tool that real estate agents use the most, the MLS. The MLS, Multiple Listing Service, is basically a database of properties for sale in any given area. There are hundreds of these MLS databases throughout the country. When an agent has a buyer looking for a home, the agent searches the MLS to come up with a list of properties that fit the buyer's needs, such as price, size and amenities. Can I add my property to the MLS or Realtor.com® without a Realtor? No. Only Realtors have the access to add properties to a genuine Multiple Listing Service. And only properties in recognized MLS databases around the country are added to Realtor.com. There are for example sites that purport to be "MLS" sites, but these sites are not official MLS databases nor will they lead to your property being listed in Realtor.com or other automated Real Estate listing sites. Does it matter whether my listing is in my local MLS? Yes. To sell your property quickly, you should have your property listed in your local MLS database. Local Realtors in your area will have access to that MLS whereas they likely will not for other MLS databases in your state. When they do a search for their clients, you want your listing to appear and only a local MLS listing will do that. How long does an MLS listing last? Our standard listing term is 6 months. However you can extend this term indefinitely if you so choose. Our only requirement when listing a property is that you notify us of any change to your status. When you accept an offer or close on your property we need to be updated immediately so that your properties status stays up to date. Can I cancel my MLS listing? Yes. At any time before or after your home is listed you can cancel your listing with Ulistit. Please review our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee & Refund Policy for complete details. How do I start a listing?
